Architectural Digest 1980, interiors by Ron Wilson

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

I'll be moving into a new apartment in January, so while browsing Craigslist, I came across Urbanite Miami. They sell awesome mid-century furniture out of their Coral Gables apartment on Etsy. Hoping to get a pair of Diamond Bertoia chairs this week :)

Not sure what I love more the house or the chairs.
The iconic “Hardoy Chair 198″, aka The Butterfly Chair, The BKF Chair, whatever you want to call it, was designed by Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy in 1938. It was produced by Knoll but they dropped it from their line when they lost the legal battle against all the copies that were being reproduced. Image via here.

you know just some small things for under the tree. Jennifer Meyer ring, French lessons, a zebra rug, a turban, an eames fiberglass rocker, a diego bag, an ecosphere, a subscription to french vogue, and some film for my instax.

I know I mentioned it last week, but thought I'd mention it once more. Happy hour at the Webster, Friday until 8 pm. Just go so you can sit on these amazing bamboo chairs.

via this is glamorous....an image from that last issue of domino that I quite like. In each issue they would take an outfit and create an interior space based on the outfit. This one is great. Light is essential in rooms, I have learned from not having windows in my living room :(

The Health Chair

I found this Ironrite chair on craigs list last night, but I haven't had time to pick it up. I don't know how well the blue is going to fit into my apartment, but I love the design and I love that its called the "Health Chair". Maybe I'll just line all my walls with chairs since I can't seem to find a decent set of drawers. Actually I did today, below my office there is Mid Century dreamland called Gueridon, filled with some of the more beautiful pieces of furniture I've ever seen. Let's just say the cost about 10 times what I was willing to pay. Good thing my Ironrite will be just as good to my wallet as it'll be to my spine.
