I am a bit picky when it comes to basics. For example Hanes white v-necks seem to flatter everyone but me. Same with tanks, I just have a hard time with them. Yesterday I found this one, and I think I might get some more. 5.99 on the Old Navy website. Trust me, its very flattering. Also picked up a cute linen skirt in the sale rack. oldnavy.com

It doesn't look bad at all! Best basics I ever found were topshop. They're just made for me! ;) and you're absolutely right, you have to be picky when basics involved. It's enough they're plain simple, they absolutely have to flatter you to make them special...
